Steven is both a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and Fellow Chartered Financial Practitioner. Steven is an Authorised Representative of Avana Financial Solutions Pty Ltd ABN 67 631 329 078, a Boutique Australian Financial Services licence holder.
One of the Few Financial Planners in Australia to hold the premiere designations of Australia’s two peak Financial Planning bodies the Financial Planning Association – FPA and the Association of Financial Advisers- AFA.
Steven holds a Diploma of Financial Planning as well as a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Arts Majoring in Asian Studies and Economics.
Steven is currently completing his Masters in Taxation and is a member of the National Tax and Accountants Association. With the exponential growth in Self Managed Superannuation Funds in Australia, Steven is an active member of the Bendigo Self Managed Super Funds Association sub- chapter and is a registered Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Specialist Advisor.
Steven is also on the Bendigo FAAA Chapter committee. On a more personal note Steven has always had a love of the outdoors and tries to keep fit as an avid trail runner. He was born and raised in Canada and achieved the Chief Scout of Canada award in his youth.
He is a CFA volunteer, was an active Red Cross Blood donor before a run in with Cancer and volunteered advocating for the building an ice rink facility in Bendigo. He still enjoys a love of good wine from an earlier career in the wine industry and was more recently the Wine Master for the Sandhurst Wine and Food Society.
Steven has also been awarded the Chartered Tax Adviser Designation by the Taxation Institute of Australia.
